The Radio Starmaker Fund has been a vital component in the development and success of Jill Barber in Canada through its contributions to marketing and touring initiatives. The RSF funded marketing initiatives have assisted in accessing specific demographics that would have been unattainable without that contribution, most notably the ability to advertise in large circulation print magazines and daily newspapers. The program has been a great asset in expanding our on-line marketing presence, as well as allowing us to advertise on radio. The funding has also enabled the artist to retain both Quebec based and English publicists, greatly increasing her profile throughout the country. In order to qualify for the Radio Starmaker Fund, artists are required to reach prescribed sales levels by genre and demonstrate a financial commitment to the marketing of their recorded project.
